Small Group Strength

Coached training. Group energy.

Up to 15 members per coach, every session built on ME Method principles. The energy of a bootcamp with the coaching and real strength programming of a proper gym, and a community that shows up together.

Members working through a coach-led small group strength training session at Studio ME Fitness in Northeast Minneapolis.

Strong coaching. A room full of people who show up.

Small group training at Studio ME is coach-led and built on the same principles that drive everything we do: progressive loading, movement quality, and programming with a purpose. Nobody is guessing, and nobody is going through the motions.

Your coach is in the room for every session, moving through the group, correcting form, adjusting weights, and making sure each person is working at the right intensity. Up to 15 members means real energy and a pace that pulls you forward. It also means your coach knows who you are and notices when something is off.

Some people train best when a room full of people is working hard alongside them. Small group is built for that. If you have loved the energy of a bootcamp but wanted real coaching and programming behind it, this is it: deliberate strength training, a coach who keeps it honest, and a community that makes the early morning or the end-of-day session feel worth it.

Real programming, not random workouts

Structured warm-up, deliberate strength work, thoughtful finisher. The ME Method principles apply — progressive loading, movement quality, nothing left to chance.

A coach in the room

Up to 15 members per coach. Your form gets corrected, your weights get scaled, and someone notices when you are off your game. This is not a self-directed class.

Energy that pushes you

Some people do their best work in a room full of people moving hard toward the same goal. Small group gives you that energy without losing the coaching that makes it safe.

A schedule you can count on

Set weekly class times make it easy to build a routine. Show up at the same time each week and the consistency takes care of itself.

In their words

A community of people who train smart.

Small group FAQ

Still have a question? Reach out. We usually reply the same day.

How many people are in a small group session?

Up to 15 members per coach. Sessions are coach-led with real form corrections and on-the-fly scaling — not self-directed.

How is small group different from semi-private?

In small group, everyone follows the same shared program with a coach in the room correcting form and scaling weights. In semi-private, every member has their own custom program built from a movement assessment and tracked session-by-session — private training in a group setting. Small group is a great fit when you want the energy of a group and strong coaching on a consistent schedule. Semi-private is the right call when you want a program built entirely around your body and goals.

Is this like a high-intensity group fitness class?

No. Small group at Studio ME is strength-focused: barbell, dumbbell, and kettlebell work with structured progression. We are not chasing intensity for its own sake or programming randomly. The ME Method approach applies — deliberate, progressive, and coached.

Can I train small group and semi-private at the same time?

Yes. Some members mix formats — small group sessions for community and energy, semi-private sessions for individualized work. Your coach can help you figure out the right balance.

Who is small group training best for?

People who thrive with group energy, want a coach-led session on a consistent schedule, and are looking for strong programming without the cost of individualized training. It suits a wide range of experience levels.

Is this a bootcamp? I searched for a bootcamp near me.

A lot of people find us searching for a bootcamp in Northeast Minneapolis, and small group gives you what a bootcamp is loved for: group energy, a set schedule, and a coach pushing the room. The difference is what is behind it. Instead of random high-intensity circuits, you get real strength programming on ME Method principles, with a coach correcting your form and scaling the work to you. It is the results a bootcamp promises, coached properly.
